(1) 160-7599 Bucket Restrainer (A) Boom (B) Bracket of bucket assembly (C) Link assembly (D) Ratchet of the bucket restrainer (E) Swing frame
Route one end of the 160-7599 Bucket Restrainer (1) between the boom (A) and the swing frame (E). Refer to Illustration 2.
Route the other end of the bucket restrainer (1) around the bracket assembly (B) on the bucket. This end of the bucket restrainer must also be passed under the link assembly (C). Refer to Illustration 2.
Connect the two ends of the bucket restrainer together. Use the ratchet (D) to tighten the strap of the bucket restrainer. Do not allow the strap to be tightened excessively.Note: Remove the bucket restrainer before you begin any movements of the backhoe. The bucket restrainer can be loosened by pulling the locking plate of the ratchet toward the handle of the ratchet.Adding a Restraining Device to the Loader Bucket Lift Arms for Road Travel
The following procedures and parts have been developed for use on backhoe loaders with standard parallel lift machine configurations.

Insert the 134-4807 Pin (4) through the 126-4974 Plate (2) and the boss (G). Refer to Illustration 5.
Secure the pin (4) with a 5P-0370 Lock Pin (3). Refer to Illustration 5.Note: Remove the 126-4974 Plate before you operate the lift arm. Failure to remove the plate could result in damage to the machine.Note: The 126-4974 Plate is used exclusively on standard parallel lift machine configurations. Machines with standard lift arrangements cannot use the plate.Placement of the Instruction Film
