Position the work tool on suitable cribbing that is on a hard, level surface.

Use two people in order to remove cover assembly (1). The weight of cover assembly (1) for the S340B is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).
Use the host machine's hydraulic system to open the shear jaw.

Attach Tooling (A) to cover assembly (3) behind guide block (2) in order to secure the shear jaw open.
Release the hydraulic system pressure in accordance with the host machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual.
