A 1 9U-7839 Stopwatch Test Preparation
Establish a straight speed test course. Refer to the "Specifications" Section for proper length of the course. Make sure that the course provides sufficient distance for the machine to reach full speed before the machine passes the starting line. Also, allow sufficient distance for the machine to be stopped after the finish line is passed. The course should have no slope. The course should be over a hard or firm surface.Note: Make sure that hydraulic oil temperature is shown on the display. If necessary, use function keys to configure the display to show hydraulic oil temperature.
Illustration 1 g06221892
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches the test temperature given in the "Specifications" section.
Drive the machine to the test area.
Illustration 2 g06227149
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Illustration 3 g06227156
Use speed control buttons (2) to set the propel speed to 100 percent.Note: Two things indicate when the propel speed is set to 100 percent. First, "Speed Control % 100" will appear on the display. Second, seven LEDs next to speed control buttons (2) will be illuminated.
Use propel speed range control button (3) to shift the propel motors into low speed.Note: Two things indicate when the propel motors are in low speed. First, "Propel Mode Low" will appear on the display. Second, one LED next to propel speed range control button (3) will be illuminated.Test Procedure
Position the machine far enough from the start line to reach full speed before the start line.
Time the machine through the straight speed test course. Refer to "Specifications" section for acceptable travel times.
Repeat the test
