Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install" in this module.

Note: The air cleaner weighs 34 kg (75 lb).
Fasten a hoist and a nylon lifting strap to air cleaner (3) .
Remove two bolts and washers (1). Remove four bolts and washers (2) .

Disconnect electrical connector (4) for the turbocharger inlet pressure sensor.

Separate the air duct at the joint in Illustration 3. Remove the two O-ring seals.
Remove air cleaner (3) from the machine.
Cover the opening to the turbocharger.Installation Procedure
Note: O-ring seals, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring seal. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low cost component such as an O-ring seal or a gasket. Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound during the assembly procedure.
Uncover the opening to the turbocharger.
Install the two O-ring seals.

Connect the air duct at the joint in Illustration 5.

Install four bolts and washers (2) .
