Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface and apply parking brake before starting installation of snow wing.Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch before you service the equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.Installation Procedure
Note: Read all of the Installation Instructions before beginning installation of unit.Note: All installation welds must be made in accordance with current CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) or AWS (American Welding Society) Standards, by certified welders using E-7018 electrodes or equivalent wire.Note: Torque all bolted connections and threaded hydraulic fitting or adapter connections to the values listed below. Clean all threaded mounting holes with a tap or thread chaser.

Remove the ladder from right side of the machine. Save the removed parts and all mounting hardware safely for re-installation after snow wing installation is complete.

(A) Bolt
Align the lift group of the snow wing with bolt holes in grader frame . Fasten with 14 bolts (A) of size M24 X 3.0 X 100mm.Note: Check the clearance between lift group and grader circle (Tip cylinder mount when circle is rotated).Adjust position of lift group as required. Torque bolts to specified torque values.

Install lift cylinder (B) on mast mount assembly (E) using a 1.5-6 UNC X 8 Hex head capscrew, Washer, plate and a nylock nut of 1.5-6 UNC.Install Mast assembly (C) on mast mount assembly (E) using a pin assembly of 2.5 inch dia X 19.75 inch. Install rubber washer (D) on top of the mast assembly.Install Moldboard assembly (K) using a 2 inch dia X 8.5 inch bolt (F), Flat washer (G), 2 inch dia slotted nut (H).Note: Position moldboard at approximately 45 degrees to the machine. Do not overtighten the nut, moldboard must be allowed to pivot. With nut properly tightened, install cotter pin (J) of size 0.375 inch X 5 inch.
