Left Operator Control Unit Connector "J2"The left operator control unit monitors input signals from the following components in the auxiliary system:
Right screed width switch (terminal "J2-23" and terminal "J2-28")
Truck hitch switch (terminal "J2-32" and terminal "J2-33")
Auger lift switch (terminal "J2-46" and terminal "J2-47")
Left screed width switch (terminal "J2-52" and terminal "J2-53")
Counterbalance switch (terminal "J2-59")
Screed lift switch (terminal "J2-58")Left operator control unit (11) controls the ground path for the left operator station indicator. When the machine electronic control system determines that the left operator station is active, the left operator control station connects terminal "J2-13" to ground. When the right operator station is active, terminal "J2-13" is open.Left operator control unit (11) determines that the left auger lift switch is in the RAISE position when a ground signal is read at terminal "J2-47". This signal prompts the machine electronic control system to generate a digital output signal from terminal "J1-62" of the left operator control unit. The output signal energizes the auger raise solenoid.Left operator control unit (11) determines that the left auger switch is in the LOWER position when a ground signal is read at terminal "J2-46". This signal prompts the machine electronic control system to generate a digital output signal from terminal "J1-61" of the left operator control unit. The output signal energizes the auger lower solenoid.Terminal "J2-22" of left operator control unit (11) provides a common ground for the following digital input devices in the auxiliary system:
Apron fold switch
Hopper switch
Screed counterbalance switch
Screed lift switch
Right screed width switch
Left screed width switch
Truck hitch switch

Front of Center Console (14) Grade and slope relayGrade and slope relay (14) is located near the main breaker panel.Machine ECM (8) monitors the propulsion mode switches and the machine ECM monitors the propulsion lever in order to control grade and slope relay (14). The machine ECM energizes the coil of the grade and slope relay after a preset delay when the following conditions have been met: the propulsion mode switch is in the PAVE position, the speed dial is above the minimum setting and the propulsion lever is moved into the FORWARD range. The grade and slope relay controls the power supply to the tow point valves when running a machine with automatic grade and slope controls.The grade slope relay interrupts the signal to the tow point control valves from the grade or slope controls when the propel lever is moved to the NEUTRAL position. When the propel lever is moved to the FORWARD position, a timer is activated. When the timer reaches a predetermined count, the grade and slope relay is energized. The interrupted signal is then allowed to reach the tow point control valve.
