Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Clean the mating surfaces of the wheel and of the service brake.

Check the condition of dowels (6). If any dowels (6) are damaged or broken, use new parts for replacement.
Install O-ring seal (5) in service brake (4). Apply a thin coat of clean oil on O-ring seal (5).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to final drive and wheel (3), as shown.
Align the dowels of service brake (4) with the dowel holes of the final drive and wheel (3).
Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to install final drive and wheel (3) on service brake (4). The combined weight of final drive and of wheel (3) is 1565 kg (3450 lb). Note: The weight of service brake (4) is approximately 250 kg (550 lb).
Install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 1125 100 N m (830 74 lb ft). End By:
Install the final drive, the brake and the wheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive, Brake and Wheel - Remove and Install".
