Information:
Drive the machine to a clear area that is free from personnel and equipment. The area must be level. The area must have a hard, consistent surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate propel speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Rotate dial (4) for the front wheel assist to the MINIMUM position.
Move switch (3) for the front wheel assist to the OFF position.
Move parking brake switch (5) to the ON position.

Move screed lift switch (6) to the RAISE position. Completely lift the screed.

Engage screed lock mechanism (7) on both sides of the machine.
Move screed lift switch (6) to the FLOAT position. Allow the tow arms to rest on the screed locks.
Move screed lift switch (6) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (8) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.

Remove the cap from pressure tap (10) in port "G3". Connect Tool (C) to the pressure tap.
Connect Tool (B) to Tool (C). Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A) .
Place the tooling on the machine so the tooling does not contact moving parts during this test.
Move engine start switch (9) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (8) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the monitor display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Move switch (12) for the front wheel assist to the ON position.
Move parking brake switch (5) to the OFF position.
Move propel lever (1) to the FULL FORWARD position.
Slowly rotate propel speed dial (2) until the machine just starts to move.
Have an assistant observe the pressure on Tool (A) while the operator slowly rotates dial (11) for the front wheel assist. The pressure should steadily increase until the dial reaches the MAXIMUM position. When the dial for the front wheel assist is at the MAXIMUM position, the pressure should be 13800 690 kPa (2000 100 psi).
Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Move switch (12) for the front wheel assist to the OFF position.
Rotate dial (11) for the front wheel assist to the MINIMUM position.
Rotate propel speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Move throttle control switch (8) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.
Remove the tooling.

If no pressure was recorded during the test, inspect solenoid (13) for the front wheel assist.
If the system did not reach the maximum pressure that was given in Step 24, check the auxiliary system pressure. Refer to Specifications, Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting,
