(7) Axle shaft The front axle group and the rear axle group incorporate the pinion and bevel gear set, the differential, the final drives, and the disc brakes. The front axle housing and the rear axle housing are slightly different, but the internal components and the operation are identical.Power from the output transfer gears is transferred to the front axle group and to the rear axle group by the drive shafts. The power enters the axle groups through bevel pinion (2). Bevel pinion (2) turns bevel gear (1). Bevel gear (1) is fastened to differential carrier (4).Power is transferred through the differential by differential bevel pinions (5) and by differential bevel gears (6) to axle shafts (7). Axle shafts (7) transfer power to the final drive group.
