Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Raise hood (1). Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assemblies (3) and hose assemblies (2).
Remove bolts (4) to set bracket assembly (5) along with hose assemblies (2) and harness assemblies (3) out of the way.

Disconnect hose assembly (7). Remove bolt (6) and reposition the hose assembly.

Loosen clamps (8) and remove hose (9).
Loosen clamps (10) and remove hoses (11).

Disconnect harness assemblies (12) and (13).

Remove bolts (17), washers (16), and mount assembly (14). Remove diesel exhaust fluid module (15).Installation Procedure
Install diesel exhaust fluid module (15) in the reverse order of removal.
