Removal Procedure
Note: For easier assembly, mark all hose assemblies, tube assemblies, wire harnesses and cables for identification purposes.

Attach a lifting device to electric starting motor (1). Secure the lifting device to the hoist.
Remove nut (3) and three wire assemblies (2) from electric starting motor (1) .

Remove bolt (6) in order to remove clip (7) .
Remove the nut (8) and two wire assemblies (5) from solenoid assembly (4) .

Remove three bolts (9) that secure electric starting motor (1) to the engine.
Remove electric starting motor (1) and the gasket from the engine. The weight of electric starting motor (1) is 27 kg (60 lb).Installation Procedure

Attach a lifting device to electric starting motor (1). Secure the lifting device to the hoist.
Position electric starting motor (1) and the gasket to the engine.
Install three bolts (9) that secure electric starting motor (1) to the engine.

Install bolt (6) in order to secure clip (7) to the engine.
Install two wire assemblies (5) and the nut (8) to solenoid assembly (4) .

Install three wire assemblies (2) and nut (3) to electric starting motor (1) .
Remove the lifting device from the electric starting motor (1) .
