(38)Transmission, Hoist And Brake Hydraulic System
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Run engine until oil is warm, then stop engine. Change oil with machine level, parking brake set and engine stopped. Remove tank filler cap (to prevent vacuum in tank).1. Remove the hydraulic system drain plug and allow oil to drain.2. Remove the transmission drain plug and allow the oil to drain. 3. Remove the cover, wave washer, screen and magnet and the tube assembly.
Do not drop or rap magnets against hard objects.
4. Remove the magnetic tube assembly from the screen.5. Wash the screen and tube assembly in clean nonflammable solvent.6. Clean the magnets with a cloth, or stiff bristle brush. 7. Clean the cover and inspect the seal. Use a new seal if necessary. 8. Install the magnetic tube assembly, screen, wave washer and cover.9. Change the filter elements.10. Close all drain valves and install all drain plugs. 11. Remove the oil pump suction cover assembly.12. Remove the baffle and screen from the cover. Wash the screen in nonflammable solvent.13. Inspect the cover gasket. Replace the gasket if it is damaged.14. Assemble the screen and baffle onto the cover. Install the cover assembly.15. Remove and clean the hydraulic tank filler cap. Inspect the seal. Replace the seal if it is damaged. 16. Remove filler screen retaining ring and remove screen.17. Wash filler screen in clean nonflammable solvent, allow to dry. Install filler screen. Install retaining ring.18. Fill hydraulic tank. See REFILL CAPACITIES. Install filler cap.19. Start the engine and operate the machine for a few minutes. When the oil is warm, observe oil level in the sight gauge. Maintain oil level to full mark.(39)Front Wheel Bearings
1. Position the wheel with the drain plug down. Remove the drain plug and allow the lubricant to drain.2. Clean and install the drain plug. 3. Remove the fill plug. Fill to bottom of the fill plug opening. See REFILL CAPACITIES.4. Clean and install the fill plug. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the machine.(40)Differential And Final Drives
1. Remove the differential drain plug and allow the lubricant to drain. 2. Position the wheels with the drain plugs down. Remove the drain plugs and allow the lubricant to drain.3. Clean and install all drain plugs. 4. Remove the breather and wash it in clean non-flammable solvent. Install the breather. 5. Remove the final drive fill plugs. 6. Fill the differential and final drives to the bottom of the fill plug openings. See REFILL CAPACITIES. Clean and install all fill plugs.7. Operate the machine on level ground for a few minutes. Stop the machine, remove fill plugs and observe the lubricant level. Add lubricant if necessary. Install all fill plugs.(41)Tachometer Drive
