The steps on the front of the machine are the preferred method for mounting and for dismounting. If the cab is turned slightly toward the right, the cab door will open directly over the front steps.

There are step plates on the pendulum arms on both sides of the machine. If the cab is turned to either side, use these step plates for mounting and for dismounting.Mount the machine only at locations that are equipped with steps and/or handholds. Dismount the machine only at locations that are equipped with steps and/or handholds.Before you mount the machine, clean the steps and the handholds. Inspect the stairs and the handholds. Make all necessary repairs.Lower the pendulum arms to the lowest possible level.Lower the boom and the harvester head to the ground before you dismount the machine.

Face the machine whenever you mount the machine and whenever you dismount the machine. Maintain a three-point contact with the steps and handholds.Note: Three-point contact can be two feet and one hand. Three-point contact can also be one foot and two hands.Do not mount a moving machine. Do not dismount a moving machine. Never jump off the machine.Do not try to mount the machine if you are carrying tools or supplies. Do not try to dismount the machine if you are carrying tools or supplies. Use a hand line to pull equipment onto the machine or off the machine.Do not use any controls as handholds when you enter the operator compartment or when you exit the operator compartment.Alternate Exit
The rear cab window can be used as an alternate exit.
Unlock the alternate exit during machine operation.
