This manual contains important instructions for the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). These instructions should be followed during installation and maintenance. The installation and use of this product must comply with all national codes and local codes that are applicable.There may be several specific warning signs on your system. A description of the warning signs are reviewed in this section. Please become familiar with all warning signs.Ensure that all of the warning signs are legible. Clean the warning signs or replace the warning signs if the words cannot be read or if the illustrations are not visible. Use a cloth, water, and soap to clean the warning signs. Do not use solvents, gasoline, or other harsh chemicals. Solvents, gasoline, or harsh chemicals could loosen the adhesive that secures the warning signs. The warning signs that are loosened could drop off of the system.Replace any warning sign that is damaged or missing. If a warning sign is attached to a part of the system that is replaced, install a new warning sign on the replacement part. Your Caterpillar dealer can provide new warning signs.Labels

Inside the Maintenance Bypass CabinetThe label in Illustration 1 is used to call special attention to the label in Illustration 3. Failure to remove power from the equipment could cause serious injury or death.
This label is used in conjunction with the label in Illustration 5 in order to call special attention to the label. The label is applied inside the control cabinet on the clear cover, inside the inverter cabinet on the sheet metal panel behind the door, and inside the Flywheel Cabinet on the sheet metal behind the door.The DC Bus of this system can maintain a charge sufficient to cause a shock and energy hazard even when all external sources of power are removed. This hazard can cause serious injury or death. Perform the procedure for isolating and discharging the DC bus prior to servicing.
Inside the Flywheel Cabinet adjacent to the label in Illustration 6The label in Illustration 1 is used in order to call special attention to the label in Illustration 6. The label is used in order to alert service personnel that there are two separate sources of power that are connected to this equipment. To safely service this cabinet, the AC and DC sources must be isolated separately. Failure to remove power from the equipment could cause serious injury or death. A disconnect switch is provided for AC and DC power. Service personnel should keep in mind that the input side of these disconnect switches is still live.
