Information:
The AccuGrade System Cut/Fill Values Are Not In Agreement Between Auto/Manual.
Probable Causes
The angle sensor has not been oriented correctly after a valve calibration.
The angle sensor was not calibrated when the machine dimensions were measured.
The machine is not sitting parallel to the design.Problem Isolation
Refer to Illustration 1.
Illustration 1 g01128868
Ensure that the AS400 angle sensor is installed correctly in order to sense the pitch of the blade.
Install the angle sensor (9) so that the connector (11) is parallel to the blade. Position the angle sensor so that the connector (11) is perpendicular to the machine.
Verify that the pitch from the angle sensor increases when the blade is lifted.
Ensure that the angle sensor is calibrated in the position that the machine is measured. The AccuGrade System Vertical/Horizontal Positions Or Cut/Fill Values Are Not Correct
Probable Causes
Blade measurements or blade wear values are incorrect.
The Base station is configured incorrectly.
A vertical offset on the machine is active.
A horizontal alignment or the offset is active.
A reference surface is selected rather than the design.
AccuGrade System is correct and the survey stake is incorrect or was disturbed.
The radio is synchronized to another nearby base station.Problem Isolation
Verify that the correct machine configuration file is selected.
Verify the blade measurements and the blade wear values. If the blade wear value was entered as a horizontal and vertical value, ensure that these values are not transposed by mistake. Compare the distance between the GPS antennas with the computed distance. In order to do this, use the "Get Position" soft key in the "Diagnostics – GPS" screen (second field from the end, in meters).
Verify that any vertical offset value (if selected) is correct. Ensure that a reference surface is not selected instead of the design surface.
Verify that any horizontal alignment or offset (if selected) is correct.
Verify the coordinates of the point and ensure that this information is correct and that the point has not been disturbed. The Background Information "Background.Dxf" Or "*.Avoid.Bg.Dxf" Does Not Overlay The Design Information
Probable Causes
There is a units mismatch between the background file and the AccuGrade System
Design data is in error and does not actually overlay.Problem Isolation
The .dxf file format does not contain any information on the units that are used. That is, the .dxf file format does not contain any information about feet (US Survey feet "FT" or International feet "ft") or meters "m". Ensure that the units selected for the AccuGrade System are the same as the (implicit) units for the .dxf file.
Ensure that there is not a discrepancy between US Survey feet "FT" and International feet "ft". Although the difference is small, this difference may be significant. The Display Takes A Long Time To Show Design Information, Zoom, Or Pan
Probable Causes
"Site Map" file may be too large.
"Background Plan" may be too large
"Design Data" file may be too large.Problem Isolation
The "Site Map" file "site.dxf" is stored in the root directory of the data card. The "Site Map" file is intended to be a low resolution map of the site extents and major site features. The maximum recommended size of this
