REMOVE TURBOCHARGERS
start by:a) remove air cleaner housings1. Remove turbocharger oil drain tube (1), elbow (2) and the gaskets for the engine. Remove elbow (2) and the O-ring seal from oil drain tube (1).2. Disconnect oil supply line (3) from the turbocharger. 3. Remove turbocharger outlet pipe (4) from the engine. Remove the flange and the O-ring seals from each end of the pipe.4. Fasten a hoist to turbocharger (6) and remove the bolts that hold it to exhaust manifold (5). Pull turbocharger (6) and the coupling from the exhaust elbow and remove these as a unit from the engine. The weight of the 3512 Turbocharger is 45 kg (100 lb) and the 3508 Turbocharger is 20 kg (45 lb).5. Remove the coupling from the turbocharger turbine housing. INSTALL TURBOCHARGERS
1. Install the coupling in the turbocharger turbine housing.2. Fasten a hoist to turbocharger (1) and put it and the gasket in position. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the nuts and bolts that hold the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold. Install the bolts and nuts and tighten the nuts to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).3. Install the O-ring seals on both ends of pipe (3) and put clean engine oil on the seals. Install flange (2) on the pipe.4. Install pipe (3) on the engine.5. Make sure the gasket is in position and connect oil supply tube (4) to the turbocharger.6. Install the O-ring seal on drain tube (5) and put clean engine oil on it. Install elbow (6) on the drain tube.7. Install the gaskets, elbow (6) and turbocharger oil drain tube (5) on the engine.end by:a) install air cleaner housings
