No. 1-ROLLER-SINGLE FLANGE No. 2-ROLLER-DOUBLE FLANGE No. 3-ROLLER-SINGLE FLANGE No. 4-ROLLER-SINGLE FLANGE No. 5-ROLLER-DOUBLE FLANGE No. 6-ROLLER-SINGLE FLANGE ROLLERS ARE TO BE INSTALLED ON THE TRACK ROLLER FRAME SO THE OIL LUBE HOLES ARE TOWARD THE OUTSIDE OF THE MACHINE.Remove And Install Track Rollers
1. Remove the cover over the hydraulic track adjuster.
The adjuster cylinder for the track is under high hydraulic pressure. Grease under high pressure can cause injury. Do not visually inspect the adjuster to see if grease is released when the valve is opened. Check the rod to see that it moves to the rear into the front support on the track roller frame.
2. Loosen the track as follows: a) Turn relief valve (1) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the relief valve. If the track does not loosen, go to Step b.b) Turn fill valve (2) one turn counterclockwise to permit grease to be released from the vent hole below the fill valve. If the track still does not loosen, start the machine and move it forward and backward. If grease is still not released, go to Step c. c) Install a slug (3) that is 76.2 mm (3 in.) in diameter and 63.5 mm (2.5 in.) long between the track and sprocket segment. Make sure the slug makes contact with a track bushing. Move the machine to the rear so the track will be pushed up by the slug. This will put tension on the track and push grease out of the vent holes. After the track is loosened move the machine forward and remove slug (3). Tighten relief valve (1) and fill valve (2) to a torque of 35 7 N m (27 5 lb.ft.).3. Remove the bolts that hold the roller to the track roller frame.4. Lift the machine until the bottom of the track roller frame is at least 559 mm (22 in.) above the floor and install tooling (A) under the front and rear of the machine. 5. Use tooling (B) to remove the track roller. Weight is 55 kg (122 lb.).
Clean all dirt and paint off the contact surfaces of the track roller and track roller frame. Dirt or paint can cause the bolts that hold the track rollers in place to loosen.
6. Use tool (B) to put the track roller in position on the track roller frame. Install the bolts that hold the track roller in place and tighten to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb.ft.).7. Remove tooling (A) from under the machine.end by:a) adjustment of tracksDisassemble Track Rollers
start by:a) remove track rollers1. Remove the plug from the end of the shaft. Drain the oil from the roller. 2. Remove the lock from the inner collar. Put roller (3) in a track roller press. Put collar (1) under compression until ring (2) can be removed. Remove ring (2).3. Remove the seal from the shaft. 4. Remove Duo-Cone seals (4) from the collar
