Remove Turbochargers (3408 Engine)
Removal is shown for one side only. The procedure is the same for both sides. 1. Remove pipe (1) to the aftercooler housing.2. Disconnect turbocharger drain line (3). Cap and plug all openings immediately.3. Disconnect turbocharger oil supply line (2). Cap and plug all openings immediately.4. Loosen clamp (5).5. Attach a strap and a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (4).6. Remove four bolts (6), washers and locknuts.7. Remove turbocharger (4) and the gasket. The weight of the turbocharger is approximately 29.5 kg (65 lb).Install Turbochargers (3408 Engine)

Make sure the 2P-2333 Manifold Sealer does not get on the inside of the pipes. Damage to the turbocharger could be the result if the manifold sealer gets on the impeller on the turbocharger.
1. Put 2P-2333 Manifold Sealer on the male end of turbocharger (4).2. Use a strap and a suitable lifting device to install turbocharger (4). Use a new gasket between turbocharger (4) and the elbow. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads of four bolts (6) and the washer faces before assembly.3. Install bolts (6), washers and the locknuts. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).4. Tighten clamp (5) to a torque of 14 3 N m (10 2 lb ft). Tap clamp (5) lightly all around and then tighten the clamp again to a torque of 14 3 N m (10 2 lb ft). 5. Connect turbocharger oil supply line (3).6. Connect turbocharger drain line (2). Lubricate bore of pipe (1) lightly with glycerin.7. Install pipe (1) to the aftercooler housing.
