PELJ1247 ?2011 Caterpillar REMAN C27 & C32 ENGINE STRATEGY
Product Introduction
With some recent part number additions and some part number cancellations, Reman announces this update to our C27 and C32 engine coverage. The Reman strategy covers three various service options:
New: Reman complete engines are part of the Mining Strategy to support quick replacements and to minimize downtime. As a major component, they are not intended for dealers to stock in inventory but are available to order for Planned Component Replacements or for Emergency Down situations.
Long Blocks: The option for dealers to consider for stocking purposes. Pre-assembled option helps minimize turnaround time with flexibility of being able to be built up to support multiple different engine arrangements.
Short Blocks: Lowest level preassembled option. Useful for low hour failures when the top end isn?t damaged.

The 10R7242 and 10R7245 options were recently discontinued after a review discovered redundant inventory. The original release included both sound suppressed and non-sound suppressed arrangements for both the RATAAC and ATAAC engine versions. These various configurations led to some confusion and the sound suppressed versions have been discontinued. The remaining Reman options can be reflashed and easily configured to support the Sound Suppressed equipped machines. The flash files for the various D10T engine arrangements are as follows:
