Reports have been made of malfunctions of the 324-0123 Fan Drive As . These malfunctions are the result of several improper manufacturing processes.Solution
All of the improper manufacturing processes have been identified and have been improved. The last process improvement was completed in late June of 2011 (24th week of the year) at the supplier. The part number has not changed. A production period code with a 4-digit number has been stamped on the Fan Drive As. Refer to Illustration 1 for an example and the location of the stamping. The Fan Drive As that is stamped with the production code 24/11 and up should be fine. Use the following method in order to determine the date of manufacture :The first two digits of the production period code represent the production week of the year and the last two digits of the production period code represent the last two digits of the production year.
