Remove speed sensor (traction control).
Remove the rear axle stabilizer rod.
Personal injury or death can result from improper lifting or blocking.When a hoist or jack is used to lift any part or component, stand clear of the area. Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.
Personal injury can result from driveline torque windup under load.Unequal wheel speed can result in driveline torque windup which can cause driveline components to be under load during disassembly.Relieve the driveline torque windup before disassembly.

Typical Example
Place a solid block of steel (1) between the front of equalizer arm (2) and the suspension stops on both sides of the rear frame. Note: Use 50.8 mm (2 inch) square steel 101.6 mm (4 inch) long for the blocks of steel (1).

Install Tooling (A) under the center axle. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the rear of the machine so that the weight is off the rear axle. Do not allow the tires of the rear axle to come off the ground.

Remove clip (3). Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (6). Disconnect rear drive shaft (5) from the rear axle assembly.

Install Tooling (C), Tooling (D), and Tooling (E) to input yoke (7) of the rear axle assembly. This will prevent the rear axle assembly from rotating downward.

Attach a suitable lifting device to both sides of the back half of rear suspension frame (8). Attach the other end of the suitable lifting device to the equalizer arm (2). Note: This helps support rear suspension frame (8) during removal of the rear axle.

Remove bolts (9) and the washers that secure bracket (11) to axle housing (10) and the suspension frame. Use two people or a suitable lifting device in order to remove bracket (11) from the machine. The weight of bracket (11) is approximately 35 kg (77 lb).

Remove bolts (12) and the washers from rear axle assembly (10) and the suspension frame in order to separate rear axle assembly (10) from the suspension frame.
Remove bolts (14) and the washers, that secure rear axle assembly (10) to mounting plate (13) on both of the equalizer arms.

Use two people in order to roll rear axle assembly (10) from the machine. Installation Procedure
Install axle assembly (10) in the reverse order of removal.
