Only one turbocharger is allowed. The customer (or other warranty) is responsible for the turbocharger that fails.
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 3% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the Turbocharger, refer to Disassembly and Assembly procedure in Media RENR9217.
This service letter will cover the replacement costs of one non failure turbocharger only should a failure of the other turbocharger occur. The failed turbocharger must be processed as a normal warranty claim or at the customers expense.

This program is to be carried out in conjunction with the 24Sep2009 Service Letter REBE5336 "REPLACING THE TURBO HEAT SHIELDS ON CERTAIN AD55B UNDERGROUND ARTICULATED TRUCK"

NACD Dealers should hold turbochargers for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip. Unless instructed differently the parts will be shipped to the address below.
