Open the engine hood. The air filter is located on the left side of the machine.

Remove cover (1) from the air filter housing.

Remove primary element (2) from the air filter housing.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Air Filter Primary Element - Clean/Replace".

Clean the inside of the air filter housing. Then, remove secondary element (3) from the air filter housing.
Inspect the gasket between the air inlet pipe and the air filter housing. Replace the gasket if the gasket is damaged.
Install a new secondary element.
Install a clean primary element and the cover for the air filter housing.
Close the engine hood. 574 Forwarder

Open the engine hood. The air filter is located on the right side of the machine.

Unclamp the strap on the air filter housing so that the air filter housing can be moved for better access.
Remove cover (1) from the air filter housing.

Clean the inside of the air filter housing. Then, remove secondary element (3) from the air filter housing.

Install a new secondary element.Note: A secondary element should never be cleaned. Always install a new secondary element filter.
Install a clean primary element and the cover for the air filter housing.
Fasten the strap on the air filter housing in order to secure the air filter housing to the machine.
Close the engine hood.
