Description of Change: The machined hole that is used to vent the magneto has been relocated. The vent was previously located on the bottom of the magneto. Refer to Illustration 1. The location of the new vent is shown in Illustration 2. The vent enables condensation in the magneto housing to disperse. The vent also provides a barrier against the entry of water.Adaptable To: The redesigned magnetos are adaptable to the above engines. The change was made to the 6I-2611 Magneto for four cylinder engines and to the 9Y-6465 Magneto for six cylinder engines. Serial number effectivity is listed in Table 1.Note: The changes were made as an engineering change level to the part. No new part numbers were released.
