3500B and 3500C High DisplacementEngine News SEBD9375, 21 November 2005, "New Connecting Rod is Now Used". The original article has been revised because the connecting rod that was originally announced has been replaced.Description of Change: The connecting rod has a drilled oil passage that supplies pressurized oil to the piston pin and to the connecting rod bearing. In the new connecting rod, the drilled oil passage is chamfered at both ends. The chamfers help to ensure cleanliness of the oil passage and provide a smoother fit for the main bearing and for the piston pin bearing.Adaptable To: The new 381-6555 Rod As replaces the 230-2516 Rod As, which is canceled.
