Remove engine speed sensor.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to flywheel (2). The weight of flywheel (2) is approximately 74 kg (163 lb). Remove two bolts (1).

Install Tooling (B). Remove remaining bolts (1) and flywheel (2).Note: If necessary, use a prybar against Tooling (A) to remove the flywheel from the crankshaft.

Use a hammer and a punch to remove ring gear (3).Installation Procedure
Install flywheel (2) in the reverse order of removal.Note: Ensure that the mark on the flywheel is aligned with the mark on the crankshaft.
Raise the temperature of new ring gear (3) and install on flywheel (2). Ensure that the chamfer of the gear teeth will be toward the pinion of the starting motor.
Lubricate the threads of bolts (1) with clean engine oil.
Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 1150 60 N m (848 44 lb ft).
