Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
Lubricate O-ring seals with the specified lubricant.

If necessary, replace the gaskets and install twelve bolts (14) that secure each side of transmission oil cooler (2) to the bonnets.
Attach appropriate lifting straps and a hoist to the transmission oil cooler. Place transmission oil cooler (2) into position. The weight of the assembly is 47 kg (104 lb).
Place a new gasket into position. Install four bolts (11) that secure bonnet (8) to the engine.

Install the O-ring to the tube assembly. Attach tube assembly (13) to bonnet (8). Install a new gasket and four bolts (12) to the tube assembly.

Install two bolts (6) and the washers that secure bracket (7) to bonnet (8). Remove the lifting straps and the hoist from the transmission oil cooler.

Install two bolts (9) and the washers that secure bracket (10) to the engine.

Install the O-rings to the transmission oil lines. Place transmission oil lines (5) into position. Install eight bolts (3), the washers, and four half clamps (4) that secure two transmission lines (5) to transmission oil cooler (2) .

Install the washer to the drain plug. Install drain plug (1) into transmission oil cooler (2) .Note: Apply 1U-8846 Sealant around the washer in order to improve the seal., End By:
Install the brake oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Brake Oil Cooler - Remove and Install".
Install the engine oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Cooler - Install".
Install the fuel tank. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblyRENR3402, "Fuel Tank - Install".
