Use extreme care when raising the cab assembly in the next step to avoid binding, pinching, stretching, or breaking hose assemblies, wire harnesses, or other components. Do NOT lift the cab assembly any higher than required.
13. Slowly raise the cab approximately 102 mm (4 in). Before installing the new mount assemblies in the next step, lubricate the assemblies with water or a rubber lubricant that does not contain a petroleum base.14. Remove the former 6Y9960 Mount Assemblies one at a time, and replace them with a new 9W9940 Mount Assembly as shown in the illustrations.

15. Carefully lower the cab assembly over the threaded studs that were installed in Step 12.16. Remove the threaded studs one at a time and replace them with new 8T0670 Bolts. Tighten the new bolts to a torque of 530 70 N m (390 50 lb ft).17. Remove the lifting device and the four eyebolts that were installed in Step 1.18. Beginning with Step 9 and ending with Step 2, install and connect the components in reverse order.
