The splines on the slip joint of the drive shaft to the front pump drive may bind at full articulation.Solution
Ensure that the steering stops are adjusted correctly in order to prevent the hard stops from making contact at full articulation. At full articulation, visually inspect the slip shaft for relative movement. Make sure that the slip shaft joint is not binding. Binding will typically occur near full articulation to the left or to the right. If binding is suspected from the slip joint, replace the slip joint as soon as possible with a new 8R-8510 Slip Joint . Until the replacement occurs, limit the machine articulation with the steering neutralizers until the noise ceases.
