Digital Outputs
The OCP support 16 programmable discrete sourcing outputs. The outputs can provide 200 mA per channel. The voltage of these outputs will be the source voltage to the OCP plus a voltage drop of approximately 1 VDC. The common signal is "Battery" (-). This user supplied reference should be wired to pin 118 on the 120 pin connector of the OCP.The outputs can be programmed for four different states:Disabled - When an output is disabled, the output remains in the inactive state. Display and SCADA will show the status of the output as disabled.Status or Command - Used to set a status or command from the OCP controller internal logic.System Event - Used to set system events. The trigger for system events can be configured. System events can be triggered by internal events or events from other devices on the CAN network.SCADA Datalink - Activates outputs based on a command sent via the SCADA data link.Outputs can be configured by using the OCP display. For some of the setpoints, level 2 or level 3 access is required. This section will assume that the correct level 2 or level 3 access has already been obtained. Alternately, Cat ET can be used to configure these outputs. The programming of the digital and relay outputs starts by selecting a "Usage Type". The rest of the programming is dependent upon what usage type is selected. Illustration 1 summarizes the paths possible for programming digital and relay outputs.Note: If the engine operating state is configured as hardwired, then "Relay Output #1" must be programmed to "Starter Motor Relay". "Relay Output #2" must be programmed to "Fuel Control Relay".
