REWORK PROCEDURE
Position the machine on level ground and turnthe steering wheel to the left until the machine is articulated as farto the left as it will go. Apply parking brake, shut off the engine andblock the center and rear axle wheels.1. The 7X2569 Bolt and 8T4123 Washer in thelower hitch pin assembly need to be replaced - see the illustrations belowfor parts locations on the machine. 2. Loosen and remove the bolts from the rearside flange of the hitch driveshaft. Move the driveshaft to a positionthat allows access to the hitch pin bolt. 3. Loosen and remove the 7X2569 bolt and 8T4123Washer. 4. Remove the 185-4306 special washer. If anypaint is present under the special washer, ensure that it is removed andthe mating face between the special washer and the frame is clean. 5. Reinstall the original bolt (without anywashers installed) in the pin and screw it fully down. This is to cleanout the bolt hole in the pin and in particular remove any grease that isin the bottom of the thread which may create a hydraulic effect when installingthe new bolt.6. With the bolt still screwed fully down,measure the distance between the top face of the pin and the undersideof the bolt head. The measured distance should be less than 30 millimeters- see the illustration below. Remove and discard the bolt. 7. Clean any paint or dirt that may be presenton the contact areas of the 185-4306 special washer, both at the area wherethe washer meets the machine frame and the area that the retaining boltand washer will clamp against. 8. Reinstall the original 185-4306 specialwasher.9. Use a new 6V8569 Bolt and a 153-5044 Washerin place of the 7X2569 Bolt and 8T4123 Washer.10. Torque the bolt to 460 +/- 60 Nm (340
