Remove the track adjuster. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Adjuster - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the O-ring seals, if necessary.

Remove plate (3), valves (1), plug (2), and the O-ring seal.
Install Tooling (A). Remove piston (5) from cylinder (4).
Remove the lip seal from cylinder (4).
