Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the auxiliary water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: M.C.S. regulated engines are equipped with check valves which allow specific pressure sensors to be removed while the engine remains in operation.
This engine oil pressure sensor is use to monitor the engine oil pressure sensor and the M.C.S differential engine oil pressure sensor across the engine oil filters.

Disconnect harness assembly (3) from engine oil pressure sensor (2).
Remove engine oil pressure sensor (2) from check valve (1).
Inspect check valve (1) for leaks. Replace as necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Check Valve - Remove and Install" for the correct removal and installation procedure.
Remove O-ring seal (4) from engine oil pressure sensor (2). Installation Procedure
Ensure that the engine oil pressure sensor is free from wear or damage.

Install a new O-ring seal (4) to engine oil pressure sensor (2).
Install engine oil pressure sensor (2) to check valve (1). Tighten the engine oil pressure sensor to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
Connect harness assembly (3) to engine oil pressure sensor (2). End By:
Install the auxiliary water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
