Remove the wires from the panel lights. Remove the panel lights from the front panel. Mount the lights into the mounting holes on the new panel.Note: The mounting holes for the panel light are in a new location on the new panel. The new location is required because of the new AC digital meter. See Illustration 5.
Remove the wire harness from the nonmetallic raceway on the front panel.
Remove the set screws from the handle of the "Ammeter/Voltmeter" selector switch and the Engine Control Switch (ECS). Remove the handle and the pin from the shaft of the switch. Remove the mounting screws from each of the switches.
Remove the emergency stop button. Unscrew the button from the shaft. Remove the mounting cover screw for the emergency stop button.
Loosen the set screw on the potentiometer knob for voltage adjustment (14) and loosen the set screw on the potentiometer knob for speed adjustment (11). It is not necessary to remove the set screws. Remove the knobs from the potentiometers. Remove the mounting nuts from both potentiometers.
Remove the mounting nut from the switch for the panel light (12) .
Remove the switches and the potentiometers from the panel. Place the switches and potentiometers on the existing panel.
Remove the mounting nuts for the right mounting bracket.
Remove all of the mounting nuts for the alarm module (5) .
Move the alarm module through the mounting hole on the front panel. Turn the alarm module to one side in order to move the alarm module through the mounting hole.
Remove the mounting nuts and bolts for the front panel. Be sure to remove the strap for the front panel. Remove the existing front panel.
Replace the new front panel in the location of the old panel that was just removed. Replace the strap for the front panel.
Move the alarm module back through the mounting hole. Replace all of the mounting nuts except the two nuts on the outside at the bottom. These nuts will be replaced later.
Align the engine control switch and "Ammeter/Voltmeter" switch with the mounting holes and replace the mounting screws. Replace the pin. Replace the handle and the set screw.
Align the potentiometers with the mounting holes and replace the mounting nuts. Replace the knobs and tighten the set screws.
Align the Emergency Stop switch in the mounting hole and replace the mounting nut. Replace the button on the switch.
Align the panel light switch and replace the mounting nut.
Mount the new AC digital meter into the hole. Use the mounting hardware that is provided.
Replace the wires on the following items: oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, hourmeter and battery voltmeter. Refer to the wiring diagram (included with the Retrofit Kit ).
Pull the wires for the panel lights to the panel light on the right side (as viewed from the front of the panel). See Illustration 5.
Cut off the terminal connector from the wire. Cut off only the terminal connector. The wire for the panel light may not
