Removal Procedure
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Loosen bolts (1) and remove bolts (3).
Remove step assembly (2).

Remove bolts (4) and cover (5).

Disconnect negative cable assemblies (6) and (8) from batteries (12).
Disconnect positive cable assemblies (7) and (9) from batteries (12).
Remove nuts (10) and hold down (11).
Remove batteries (12). Use two people in order to remove batteries (12). The weight of batteries (12) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Installation Procedure
Install batteries (12) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten nut (10) to a torque of 14.0 3.0 N m (123.9 26.6 lb in).
Tighten positive cable assemblies (7) and (9) to a torque of 7.2 1.6 N m (63.7 14.2 lb in).
Tighten negative cable assemblies (6) and (8) to a torque of 7.2 1.6 N m (63.7 14.2 lb in).
