Description of Change: The new flange and ring limit the tube motion during normal engine operation. The improved joint creates a more secure connection to the engine oil block.Adaptable To: The new 361-7097 Ring and 361-7098 Flange replace the former 8N-1991 Retaining Ring and 8N-1992 Retainer .The parts listed below are adaptable back to first production of the engines listed above. Refer to Table 1 for the new part numbers.Rework Procedure

(1) 0S-1594 Bolt (2) 5M-2894 Hard Washer (3) 8N-1992 Retainer (4) 0L-1351 Bolt (5) 0S-1571 Bolt
Remove bolts (1), (4), and (5). Bolts (4) and (5) and washers (2) will be reused.
Remove the tube.

Install one ring (7) and flange (6) onto the tube.
Attach the tube to the oil block using two bolts (5) and washers (2). Attach the opposite end of the tube to the oil filter housing using the previously removed hardware.
Install bolts (4) .
