This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8479" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the February 25, 1996 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Parts Needed, Action Required, and Service Claim Allowances.
If the repair is a before failure, the dealer must first contact the service representative.

Gen Sets with Remote Radiators
1. Remove the 7C2086 Fuel Filter Housing or the 6I3753 Fuel Filter Housing and the 1W2963 Oil Filter Housing.2. Install the new 1243179 Fuel Filter Housing and the 1294183 Oil Filter Housing. Gen Sets with Radiators Mounted to Frame Rails
1. Drain and save coolant.2. Remove fan drive guards.3. Remove water pump by-pass tube assembly.4. Remove the 7C2086 or 6I3753 Fuel Filter Housing.5. Remove regulator housing and regulators, as a group, from the water manifold.6. Remove the 1W2963 Oil Filter Housing.7. Install the new 1294183 Oil Filter Housing.8. Install the new 8N1269 Gaskets and the regulator housing assembly on the water manifolds.9. Install the new 1243179 Fuel Filter Housing.10. Install the water by-pass tube assembly.11. Install fan drive guards.12. Fill cooling system
