1 12 239-1388 Gasket Install the gasket so that the “MANIFOLD SIDE” marking faces away from the cylinder head.
2 8 8N-0879 Clamp Torque to 7.5 1.0 N m (66.4 8.9 lb in).
Do not reuse the clamp.
3 8 393-5115 Taperlock Stud Torque to 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
4 24 2N-2766 Locknut Use the following procedure in order to tighten the locknut:
Use a centering tool in at least one oversize hole per manifold section in order to align the manifolds. Do not remove the centering tools until locknuts are tightened.
1. Before assembly, apply Loctite C5A copper anti-seize to the threads.
2. Tighten the locknut in a numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2 to 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft).
3. Again, tighten the locknut in a numerical sequence as shown in Illustration 2 to 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft).
