Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Attach a suitable lifting device to stabilizer link (1). The weight of stabilizer link (1) is approximately 130 kg (285 lb).
Remove bolts (2), the cap, and the shims from stabilizer link (1). Lower stabilizer link (1) to the floor.

Attach a suitable lifting device to lift cylinder (3). The weight of lift cylinder (3) is approximately 107 kg (236 lb).
Remove bolts (4), the cap, the nuts, and the shims that hold lift cylinder (3) to the blade.
Start the machine in order to retract lift cylinder (3).
Turn off the machine and secure lift cylinder (3) to the machine.

Remove bolts (6) and guard (5) from the cleaner bar.

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".
Remove clamps (7) and (9). Disconnect hose assemblies (8).

Install Tooling (A) under each push arms (10).

Remove bolts (12) that hold the push arms to cleaner bar (11).

Start the machine. Carefully drive the machine away from blade assembly (13).Installation Procedure
Install blade assembly (13) in the reverse order of removal.
