Using the Ethernet Connection option, multiple UPS View users that are connected to a Local Area Network can monitor the operation of the UPS at the same time.By using the Ethernet Option, the Caterpillar UPS allow the user to monitor the operation of the system over a Local Area Network.Internet Interface
By using the Ethernet Option, the Caterpillar UPS allow the user to monitor the system over the Internet by using a Local Area Network.
Network monitoring requires IP address that is statically assigned to the UPS.
Internet monitoring requires a LAN connection to the Internet.E-mail Notification
Ethernet Connection enables e-mail messages to be broadcast all people on the receipt list at one time for all Notice events and all Alarm events. The e-mail messages contain the following information: UPS model, serial number, physical location and the triggering event E-mail messages are broadcast to all recipients.
E-mail requires the Remote Notification option and a connection to a Local Area Network with an SMTP e-mail server.
