(1) Test port - left valve supply
(2) Test port - right valve supply
Assemble the necessary hoses and the correct pressure gauge from tooling group (A) onto test port (1) or (2). Note: The pressure taps for system pressure are located below the platform in front of the cab.
Start the machine.
Warm the hydraulic oil to 63° 25°C (145° 45°F).
Raise the boom fully. Return the lift control lever to the HOLD position.
Increase engine speed to high idle.
Move the lift control lever to the full RAISE position. Note: Do not hold relief pressure for more than 10 seconds at a time.
Record the pressure reading from the test gauge.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
If the pressure reading is not correct, perform the following procedure in order to adjust the main relief valve.
Repeat procedure for other control valve. Relief Valve Main - Adjust

(1) Locknut
(2) Adjustment screw
Loosen locking nut (1).
Turn adjustment screw (2) in order to adjust the pressure setting. Turn adjustment screw (2) in the clockwise direction in order to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjustment screw (2) in the counterclockwise direction in order to decrease the pressure setting.
Tighten locking nut (1). Torque for locking nut (1) is 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 1 through 3, as needed.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Stop the engine.
Remove test gauge hose and test gauge from the machine.
