At the same time, the oil flows to the front port of gerotor motor (1). The oil flows through the motor and the oil flow causes the motor to rotate counterclockwise when you view the rotation of the cold planer from the motor side. Then, the oil flows from the rear port of the gerotor motor back to the host machine through return line (3) .When the operator stops the oil flow, the inertia of the cutting wheel causes the motor to continue rotation. Oil flow from the output of the motor opens check valve (2) and oil flow replenishes the oil supply on the input side of the motor until the cutting wheel comes to a stop.
