Information:
Starting the ATS System
To start the ATS instrument, and connect the ATS instrument to the system, complete the following steps:

From any guidance screen, press "ATS". The ATS start-up dialog appears. The dialog below is used to start an SPS730 or SPS930 Advanced Tracking Station (ATS).
For SPS730 and SPS930 instruments only, set the Target ID. To do this, complete the following steps:

Press the "Target ID" softkey. The "MT900 Target ID" dialog appears:
Enter the selected "Target ID" into the "Target ID:" field. By convention, target IDs of 9 through 16 are used for machine control applications. IDs of 1 through 8 are reserved for surveying applications. Ask your site manager which target ID you should use. To set the default value of 9, press the "Default" softkey.
To confirm the settings, press the "OK" key. Press the Escape key in order to exit without saving changes.The ATS start-up dialog appears.
Set the "Auto search" status as required.If "Auto search" is turned on (Yes) and the ATS loses lock on the target, the ATS will automatically attempt to locate and lock onto the target again by searching the area that is bounded by the search window defined during ATS set up.If "Auto search" is turned off and the ATS loses lock, refer to the information for reaquiring a lock in Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8501, "Setting Up For Operation".

Press "Start".The ATS system starts and the ATS instrument automatically searches for the target in the area bounded by the search window defined during ATS set up.When the target is acquired, the ATS dialog changes to the "Tracking" layout as shown above.Note: If the ATS takes too long to find the target, press the Escape key in order to stop the search and the start-up of the ATS.Some common ATS set up problems are as follows.

Use the following steps in order to access the "Bucket Selection" dialog:
From any guidance screen, press the Menu button.The "Setup Menu - Configuration" screen appears.
Select "Select Bucket".The "Bucket Selection" dialog appears.Setting The Accuracy Level
The system provides an interface that allows you to change the accuracy of the ATS data that is required to estimate the orientation of the machine. Occasionally it may be difficult to get an orientation estimate. For example, if the ATS instrument is operating at the limit of its range, or if the machine is rocking a lot. In these cases, if high accuracy guidance information is not required you
