Remove the rear axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Remove and Install".

Fasten a suitable lifting device to front support (1). Slide the front support off the rear axle housing. The weight of the front support is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

Remove lip seal (2) from both sides of the front support.
Remove ring (3) that holds bearing (4) in the front support.
Turn over the front support and remove the other lip seal (2) .Installation Procedure

Use Tooling (A) and a press in order to install bearing (4) in the front support. The bearing should make contact with the counterbore surface in the support.
Install retaining ring (3) that holds the bearing in the front support.
Use Tooling (A) to install lip type seal (2) in both sides of the front support. Install the seals until contact is made with the counterbores in the front support. The lip of each seal should face toward the outside of the front support, as shown.
Put Tooling (B) on the lips of seals (2) before installing the supports on the axle housing.

Use a suitable lifting device to install front support (1) on the rear axle housing. The weight of the front support is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).End By: Install the rear axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Remove and Install".
