Cat engines are identified by serial numbers and by arrangement numbers. These numbers are shown on the Engine Serial Number Plate and on the Engine Identification Plate. Cat dealers need these numbers to determine the components that were included with the engine. Obtaining correct information and numbers from the plates permits accurate identification of replacement part numbers.Engine Serial Number (1)
