This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs.The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS52549" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 28Oct2013 (Revised 27Oct2014) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Termination Date and Affected Product.

The air inlet heater relay may fail due to engine vibration on certain C7, and 3126E Engines sold to the military.

The dealer must not use their own personnel and labor to perform the removal and installation of the air inlet heat relay. The military will perform the removal and installation of the air inlet heat relay and related parts.
Provide only the parts that are listed in the Parts Needed.
The military must return the old air inlet heat relay in order to receive the parts that are listed in the Parts Needed.
The military must provide a serial number that is listed in the Affected Product and the current engine hours.

The military unit will install the new air inlet heater relay themselves. The military must return the relay to the dealer in order to obtain replacement parts. Obtain the serial number and hours of the affected engine, and file a claim for parts only.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
