Plunger (4) is pushed to the right when chamber (2) is filled. The grease that is inside of chamber (7) is forced through channel (8), plunger (3), channel (9), and the secondary grease line (5). Grease will then go to the grease point through the secondary grease line. Check valve (10) is pushed back in order to allow a clear path to the secondary grease line.Lubrication Pressure Switch
The lubrication pressure switch informs the control unit that sufficient pressure has been built up during the lubrication cycle. When the required amount of pressure is not reached, an error will be stored in the control unit.The lubrication pressure switch is preferably mounted on the distribution block that is located farthest from the pump. The pressure switch is mounted on the farthest distribution block in order to ensure that the required amount of grease pressure is reached. Pressure switches are delivered with a pressure (switch) of 15000 kPa (2175 psi). A switch with a higher pressure setting must be used if the switch is installed further away from the end of the system. The pressure switches are available with pressures of 10000 kPa, 12500 kPa, 15000 kPa, or 17500 kPa.The lubrication pressure switch operates in three stages.Stage 1
