The machine is steering with the front cylinder and the front drum rotates clockwise.When the steering system is enabled, the solenoid on steering shunt valve (17) is energized and closed. In this case, all supply oil is directed to compensator spools (10), compensator spools (23), sidecutter, (11) and warmup valve (14).Steering control valve (9) has two solenoids. When the front clockwise solenoid is energized, front steering cylinder (5) extends and the front drum turns clockwise.When front clockwise solenoid (15) in steering control valve (9) is energized, the spool of the steering control valve shifts. This shift directs supply oil to check valve (1) at the head end of front steering cylinder (5). At the same time, the steering control valve directs supply oil to counterbalance valve (3) on the rod end of the front steering cylinder.As pressure in the head end of front steering cylinder (5) increases, pressure increases at the pilot side of counterbalance valve (3). At the same time, pressure at shuttle valve (7) and compensator spool (10) also increases.
