Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove damper guard (2).
Remove bolts (1) and (4) and remove tube and elbow assembly (3). Remove the O-ring seals.

Remove bolts (8) and position elbow and tube assembly (6) out of the way. Remove the gasket.
Using two people, remove bolts (5) and auxiliary water pump (7). The weight of auxiliary water pump (7) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb). Remove the O-ring seals. Installation Procedure
Install auxiliary water pump (7) in the reverse order of removal.
