Rework Procedure
Perform the following steps in order to convert the axles from "oil filled" to "grease filled".
Disassemble the axle per the procedure that is provided in "Idler Axle - Disassemble" in the Disassembly and Assembly Manual for your machine.
Clean the axle and the bearings in order to remove the residual oil.
Pack the bearings with 4.0 ounces of Mobilith 007 grease.
Reassemble the axle per the procedure that is provided in "Idler Axle - Assemble" in the Disassembly and Assembly Manual for your machine.Note: Only the bearings are packed with grease. The rest of the axle's chamber will be empty.
Restamp the axle "grease filled" for maintenance information.
